Water Well Drilling Project in Levi, Kittilä
In the autumn of 2024, Juvatec Oy carried out a water well project in Levi, Kittilä, aiming to provide the client with a reliable and abundant source of water. The well, designed in collaboration with the client, ensures high-quality water supply for the area’s demanding needs.
Planned water well drilling
The project began with careful planning, which led to drilling a 165 mm rock borehole to ensure optimal water yield. In the softer soil sections, a 220 mm steel casing was used to provide the well with a durable structure and protection from surface effects. Drilling started early in the morning, and thanks to efficient work, the well reached the target depth of 90 meters by the evening of the same day. This rapid execution demonstrates Juvatec Oy’s ability to operate efficiently without compromising quality, even under tight schedules.
Test pumping and water yield measurements
After a few days of rest, a test pumping was conducted on the well to verify its sufficient water production. The test yielded excellent results, with a water capacity reaching up to 144 m³ per day. This volume meets even the most demanding water usage requirements, providing the client with a plentiful and reliable water source.
Reliable water source for demanding conditions
This water well project in Levi highlights Juvatec Oy’s expertise in executing challenging well projects in northern conditions, where water quality and availability are paramount. The well provides clients with a reliable water source that effectively and sustainably meets the unique challenges encountered in Levi.
